Ask Questions (Advocacy Book 5)

HGW offers a course on Motivational Interviewing. To achieve a base of understanding, the advocate must engage in appropriate questions to find realistic possibilities in the solution-creation process. What works for one situation doesn’t provide a good resource for another. We have each found ourselves in situations where we find an excellent and available resource. Still, the person we work with doesn’t “qualify” for services as that resource doesn’t match the demographic, circumstance, or funding guidelines. While this is a social justice issue, we cannot allow it to be an obstacle.
